I made this awesome breakfast/lunch smoothie this morning - delicious. Take 2 cups of extra fiber V-8 juice, 1 cup of orange juice and 2 frozen bananas. (I buy overripe bananas and cut them up in chunks and freeze in baggies). Anyway blend it all together. 120 cal by V-8 juice, 110 for orange juice and about 160 for bananas. So good and so filling. Total 390 calories by my estimation and soooo filling. Use on commute to work or wherever the day takes you.

If you are like me and don't eat breakfast, a protein smoothie can be very helpful.
I combine 1 c. milk, 2 yogurt, 3/4 frozen berries, 3 ice cubes, protein powder and flax seed. Combined, my smoothie gives me 600 calories and 56 grams of protein. Smoothies can be adjusted for your calorie needs.
Do you have a smoothie after your workout? Getting bored? Save some coffee from breakfast, chill it, and use it as the liquid in your smoothie.....add milk, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla, stevia....or use chocolate protein powder for a mocha smoothie!
It is a great breakfast or pick- me-up and cheaper than Starbucks!!!
