Cleaning 10 Minutes At A Time

When I find I have tons to do and can't figure out where to start at home, I grab my handy kitchen timer (or use the timer on my cell phone) and clean in each room for 10 minutes. You would be amazed by how much you accomplish! Take a 10 minute (timed!) break after 30 minutes or so and keep going.

Once you get through all your rooms you will feel like things are under control and you can tackle more intricate projects.

    I *hate* cleaning, and I do a similar thing. I set a timer and clean for x amount of time, then read for x amount of time (my favorite leisure activity), and repeat a couple of times. I usually get a lot done.

    Great tip! I find that I can do (almost) anything for 10 minutes at a time.

    I LOVE this idea! With Arthritis and Sciatica it is hard for me to clean (even cook and stand). I usually feel so overwhelmed and decided to do one room at a time on different days but even that's hard. I like the 10 min at a time thing. The game would be to see how much I could get done in 10 minutes while enjoying dancing to music. Thanks!
