left, we put N boxes & date. After a year, the contents are sold, donated or trashed. If something N the box is used, it comes out but everything else stays N. Our philosophy is if it's not used N a year, there's no reason to just keep it. The kids and grandkids have 1st choice, not wanted = gone.

One of THE hardest things for me to do. I had to leave behind so many things like furniture when I lost my job, then my apartment, & had to move "home" again. Right now my mom's garage is 2/3 full of "stuff" neither one of us really knows the what or where of.

I am in the midst of "stuff reduction" and in less than a week my stuff will be GONE, either SOLD or donated. No second chance for our stuff. We want to downsize into a smaller home so there will be NO room for extras. It is hard to decide which stuff goes. Good advice thanks! emoticon
