We all "collect" things. Our children's first grade cards, their first pictures, inherited "stuff" from parents who have passed & which @ the time - we couldn't get rid of. After 38 years of marraige we found that our 'stuff' took up 1/2 the garage. We sorted everything & had a garage sale. What was
left, we put N boxes & date. After a year, the contents are sold, donated or trashed. If something N the box is used, it comes out but everything else stays N. Our philosophy is if it's not used N a year, there's no reason to just keep it. The kids and grandkids have 1st choice, not wanted = gone.

We are still using the existing garage near the old farm house on our property. The newer house that we live in is 325 ft from that garage. Every round trip I make to the garage is 1/7 mile...so I try to always park the car in the garage even between trips to town to get a little more walking into my day.
