I work to get myself together before time in order not to rush. I fix lunch the night before, even setting out the utensils and cups that I'll be using so that I don't have to spend time looking for anything at the last minute.
I put the containers of food that I'll be taking for lunch together on a shelf in the refrigerator and just pull them out to pack as soon as I walk into the kitchen. I timed myself and save up to 30 minutes in the morning that I use to Spark or quilt or just relax.
After lunch, I always have a craving for something dessert-y: chocolate, sugary, sweet. Usually fruit works, but a couple gum companies have recently come out with dessert-flavored gum: chocolate mint, strawberry shortcake, etc. It's a great, low-cal way to get my post-lunch sweet fix!
