I hate it when people ask me how my "diet" is going because I'm not on a diet. There is so much negative attached to that word. I find that saying I'm on a journey or lifestyle change is much more positive and easier to stick to. Also, you can't cheat on something your not on. ;)
If I want a dessert or something sweet, I ask my husband to either share it, or get a kids size. This way, I'm still satisfying my sweet tooth, I'm not sabotaging my diet, and I have no guilt after eating.
When people begin to notice those changes you make like always carrying a bottle of water or a snack bag of fruit instead of chips and candy..don't let them make you FEEL like you're depriving yourself of something.. I live everyday saying I'm not on a DIET..for me it's a lifestyle change!
