I have saved so much $$ by just putting the spinach in a plastic food storage lidded container with a paper towel on the bottom and another on top of the produce! Keeps up to 2 weeks! Works on sliced bell pprs too! Dry off the inside of the lid each time you open and use some of the contents. It's the water/wetness that spoils the produce before you have time to use it all. Amazing.

Don't worry, and don't throw it out. Bolted lettuce is bitter to taste, but you can tone down that bitterness by soaking the cleaned leaves in lemon juice and water for a few hours. After drain the water rewash the lettuce and dry it. No need to waste the plants you tried so hard to grow. Eat them and enoy the added flavor.
I believe this will pay for itself over time. I have not thrown out any lettuce since I bought it. 250 I buy leaf lettuce, wash it good a couple of times, tear it up a little bit and put it in the spinner. The OXO is really easy to use, just pump, and it spins.
I then wrap my clean lettuce in paper towels, put it in a green bag, and I have a huge head start on my salads for the week. The whole head cleaned, dried and ready to go.
