Each month I create a sign that I put on the front of my refrigerator. I use inspirational quotes which I have cut out over the years and put in a scrapbook. A current one I used is: No matter how long it takes, persist. No matter how discouraged you may get, persevere. No matter how much you want to quit, donít give up.
Are you going through a spell where it's just too difficult to meet daily goals, or you just don't feel like it anymore? Then act "as if." Act as if you've already lost the weight, no matter what the scale says. Act as if you've already run a 10K, even if it's a pain to get off the couch. Smile even if you don't feel like smiling. If you act the part, it's easier to imagine those yet-to-be-achieved goals as a future reality. If you dream it, you can be it!
