Set Monthly goals in Micro, Mini, Medium & Major. Blog these at the end of the month for the following month then adjust "other goals" for tracking, accountability & celebrating!! If you are a list person, this works!! Spark Streaks can be set to support each months goals. Micro & Mini goals tend to be the building blocks to medium/major goals. Many goals set down often fail because there are no plan of action. I put my goal in writing, post where I see everywhere, and measurable. I think of SHARE- Situation, Habits, Actions, Results, Evaluation. When I have not reach my goal, instead of moaning about it, I revisit my plan and adjust my goal accordingly until I reach it. So when you fall down, get up and dust yourself off and move on. 86
The benefits of goals and planning help you to stay on track and to help get back on track for those trying times and hurdles.
Everyone hits that slump where you feel like you've lost your drive; you no longer have the motivation to move and as a result, you don't. No motivation=no action right? WRONG. It's not motivation that leads to action-it's action that leads to motivation.
Part of not getting down and staying positive is your mindset. By seeing yourself in the future in a positive light, you can put your plan into action. PLAN ON: being healthy and being OK with ups & downs. Instead of setting goal for a certain event (like 40 pounds in 2 months), concentrate your efforts on feeling good for that event instead. By creating a healthy lifestyle for yourself, you might not just feel good but look good to!
