Byot - Bring Your Own Tea

This Sparked Me!

I recently quit coffee and started drinking tea. At first I was buying chai tea lattes ($4.50 for tea and milk!) but now I take a box of tea with me in my backpack wherever I go. Even if I forget my mug, $.25 for a paper cup is much cheaper than $2 for tea -- which is only about $2 a box at the store!

I have tea in my desk at work -- a bunch of different kinds -- and usually take green, mint, and black tea with me if I go on vacation.

O my ... I followed BAREADER here thinking this was a blog about those Tea Party folks! Sorry, not a tea fan ... either the substance or the "parties" ... yak, yecch, yak emoticon

I love Starbucks green tea, but it's $2.20 per cup...so I bought some of their bags and I make my own pitcher every week and use that tea to fill the cups I have saved from going to Starbucks. Add some Simple Syrup from Trader Joe's and it's ust like the real thing...only cheaper:D

I keep tea at work, I have an electric kettle (which has many uses). It saves a bunch of money, not to mention calories over the soft drinks I used to get from the vending machine.

Tea is so refreshing and I am glad you figured out how to do that. I get Tea (Seniors) for .65 At McDonalds. Sometimes my Friend takes her own decaf tea bag.
