I use the Bake Don't Buy rule; I don't allow myself to buy treats or candy. If I want something I have to make it myself. Instead of a candy bar I will make brownies and instead of Oreos I will make cookies.
The idea is that if you are gonna have a treat make it worth it! (plus it eliminates all those extra icky ingredients from entering your system)

Shop at places like Costco and Sam's & you'll save money, right? Maybe so, maybe not. How long will it take you to eat a case of baked beans and how will you feel about another can of baked beans before you'll EVER buy another can. Don't buy bulk in fruits, vegetables. 90% of the time you will find yourself throwing away the savings. Unless you have a large freezer available, taking advantage of one type of frozen vegetable or meat will have you going to a fast food place before you eat another

My DW and I have found that taking a friend to Costco gives us the savings and splitting the "bounty" gives us plenty of variety.
Putting baking soda on a bee sting actually works!
Mix baking soda with water to form a thick paste and slap it on ASAP. "The sting is produced by an acid and if you put baking soda on as soon as you can, it neutralizes the acid.:
If you don't have don't have have baking soa, wet the effected area and rub it with an uncoated aspirin; the aspirin will help control swelling, pain, and inflammation.
