tracking nutrition is essential for losing weight, but i can't always find the foods i eat. to be precise, i enter the information from the package labels, but the kitchen is not near the computer - so use an iphone/smartphone to take a photo of the label and then enter it in the nutrition tracker later. also works for when you are not at home!

I have only been doing this a week or so but noticed at first I would pick from the pre-entered food list something that seemed equal to what I was eating if the exact item was not there. But I decided to use the nutrition labels I had available instead and found sometimes to be cheating myself out of nutrition values and calories. I will enter my own foods so that I can more accurately track my progress and see where I need to make tweaks...
