If you haven't much experience with snow and ice, here are a couple of tricks if your car has to be parked outside. #1 After you've driven for awhile & the inside is warm, when you park your car ice will freeze around your wiper blades & they'll stick to the windshield. To stop this, pull the wiperblades out like you were going to clean the bottom of your WS. There is a lot less wear & tear on your blades. #2 Snow piles up on your windshield. Cut a large piece of plastic material to fit your WS.
Park your car, cover your windshield with the plastic - your damp/wet WS will make the plastic cling, then freeze, to the window. Return to the car, get in & warm as usual. The heat will melt the ice. Remove plastic & you'll have a clean WS.You'll stay warm because you're not scraping snow.
Separate your planned fruits and veggies from your normal meal and make them three snacks. that way you have 6 small meals.So essentially it looks similar like this: breakfast- cheerios and milk bs-watermelon and V8 lunch-sandwich ls-carrots and apple slices Dinner- Lean meat DS- broccoli and banana, 1/2 cup frozen yogurt
I heard that if you eat your fruits and veggies separate, about 30 minutes before or after) from the rest of you meal your body absorbs the nutrients easier and better.
I combine the cardio with strength throughout the workout. I wear a weighted vest while doing my LS DVD's In addition, I use dumb bells for a portion of the workout & also have a booster system, which allows me to use resistance tubing for upper and lower body resistance.
Exercise before my busy day begins. Use a walking DVD or cardio DVD.
Equipment - Weight vest, soft dumbbells and resistance tubing. Tubing - preference is to use the boost resistance cable system, as it connects feet and hands by tubing.
