Thinking Of Others

This Sparked Me!

Whenever I start to feel down about my progress or lack of progress, I think about how fortunate I am in the big scheme of things. I have a wonderful family and job, am financially secure, have a home, heat and food. I can choose to worship or not. How fortunate are most of us? When we look at things from this standpoint, we should be positive! We are so fortunate!

I love how you 'get ahold' of those feelings (that we all may get) .... But you stop to 'count your blessings' instead. Wonderfully put .... Tkx for sharing. emoticon

Thank you for your comments. We forget how fortunate we are to be able to live in a land of abundance, even though drought is hitting us hard in Iowa. There's still a roof over my head and food in the pantry. I have a job that provides great benefits such as a wonderful wellness program that promotes mental, emotional, and physical health for both my husband and me.

Yes, life could be better. When my husband gets a job after 5 years of being unemployed, things WILL be better. But until that happens, I am truly grateful for him and for what I do have. Thanks for reminding me.
