Whenever I start to feel down about my progress or lack of progress, I think about how fortunate I am in the big scheme of things. I have a wonderful family and job, am financially secure, have a home, heat and food. I can choose to worship or not. How fortunate are most of us? When we look at things from this standpoint, we should be positive! We are so fortunate!

  • I love how you 'get ahold' of those feelings (that we all may get) .... But you stop to 'count your blessings' instead. Wonderfully put .... Tkx for sharing. emoticon - by 2BDYNAMIC
  • Thank you for your comments. We forget how fortunate we are to be able to live in a land of abundance, even though drought is hitting us hard in Iowa. There's still a roof over my head and food in the pantry. I have a job that provides great benefits such as a wonderful wellness program that promotes mental, emotional, and physical health for both my husband and me.

Yes, life could be better. When my husband gets a job after 5 years of being unemployed, things WILL be better. But until that happens, I am truly grateful for him and for what I do have. Thanks for reminding me. - by GOHAWKIS1
