Sometimes it takes more than willpower to lose weight. For me it took avoidance. I had to remove everything that caused a craving. For me it was fats and sugars. I cannot eat 1 hershey kiss, I have to eat the whole bag. So I omitted it from my life. 4 months later, I am still eating healthy and I do not miss it.
Another thing I gave up, condiments. Other than fat free catalina dressing, salsa and hot sauce, I do not add flavorings. I don't tip the salt shaker either. Whole grain and fresh fruits and veggies, and lean meats. I track everything that enters my mouth.

I had to work on my mind and reset it. Before I had the mind set that I needed to eat, I had to eat, I was obsessed with food and planned what I would eat the night before and where I would be stopping to eat. I gained alot of weight this way. 39
I had to start fasting to change the way that I eat. When I realized that I could go all day or up to three days with eating nothing, just drinking liquids, then my mind realized that "Hey, I can eat to live instead of live to eat" Fasting basically saved my life.
I don't control the unanticipated "everything elses", instead I have learned to live with them and whenever possible make them benefit me, myself and I!100
The only thing you need to do is take a few minutes to think before reacting to the unanticipated "everything elses". Have some phrases ready in your mind such as "no", "ridiculous", "I am truly amazed" , "get over it", "That's right on track", "go for it"!58
