Buy fresh berries when they go on sale even if you don’t need anymore. Wash them, drain water let them sit in the colander for about 30 minutes to remove excess water. Then freeze them by placing them on a cookie sheet, where they barely touch and freezing in freezer until frozen enough where when placed in a freezer bag they want stick to each other. With strawberries, be sure to cut the stem and leaves off before freezing. No need to buy expensive frozen fruits.

I become a junkie for blueberries and blackberries in the summer and my berry obsession almost completely replaces salty snacks in the winter. Also, in season and affordable!
MORE INFORMATION:
- Farmers markets often have the best produce but major grocery chains can have fresh local berries as well
When I'm craving something sweet and cold, I go for about 1/2c of organic frozen dark cherries, put them in a bowl with about a 1/4c of almond milk (or skim or soy or yogurt even) and eat them up! The milk semi freezes the cherries and it's almost like Cherry Garcia ice cream.... only really good for you!
MORE INFORMATION:
Sometimes I'll add a few fresh berries as well, just to amp up the nutrients! yum yum yum!
