You may not realize that most electric companies charge more for power during the day than at night. You can call and find out if that is the case in your area. If it is, make sure you do all your laundry, dishwashing, internet, and other power intensive tasks at night. You will notice the difference on your bill.

When Making A Budget, Don't Forget Yearly Expenses!
We usually make monthly budgest, the mortgage/rent, phone, electricity, gasoline, etc. But, don't forget all those yearly bills--normally the ones that come due the first of the year. Not always the best timing with the hoidays and all!

We also now have at least one floor lamp in each room. Most of the time in the evening that's all we need. (Our living room was built with 8 sunken 65watt flood lights.) Why turn on EIGHT lights when one will do? IF we need it bright, then we go bright, but only for as long as needed. 3
