I saw a friend's mom dip her fingers in a bowl of water and sprinkle it over her salad, then she would season her salad. I now do the same, and I use a mixture of different spices to add flavor. The water gives the spices and seasonings something to stick to, without turning the salad soggy! emoticon

MORE INFORMATION:
I vary the spices I use. Sometimes i'll use seasoning salt, sometimes i'll use Goya Sazon packets or Adobo. I love spicy foods, and I'll sprinkle curry powder, cayenne pepper, chili powder, paprika, garlic and onion powder for a spicy kick! emoticon

    I blend an orange, red wine vinegar and ginger into a vinaigrette which I use on my salad - great and no oil. I will try the other suggested combinations.

    Another option is to blenderize cooked carrots, cooked green beans, or other favorite vegetable, & add your spices to that & then add to your salad. Practically no calories for vinegars & V8 juice added to it too. Comes out creamy & delish :-)

    That's a great idea. Certainly cuts out all the calories of dressings but still adds flavors you like.
