I had a grandson born in 2011, who lived with me. We would stack his diapers in a diaper holder/bag (Ones with the hanger inside) We no longer use the diaper stacking bag, so I hung it up in the laundry room, turned out to be a great place to store outgrown clothing that I took out of the dryer. Didn't realize this until we had a garage sale and I had the bag full of clothing items and all matching pieces were in the bag as well. Turned out, I didn't want to sell the diaper holder/bag.

The essential MUST have items, especially if you ahve a newborn and need tons of diapers, go on Amazon.com, sign up for Amazon Mom & subscribe & save on items. savings are great. obviosly you won't need the monthly supply of the same size diaper, so, cancel at any time without any problems & subscribe for another size! I just did and it was GREAT!
I think this is also useful for day care centers that use certain items on daily basis, unless they get some other kind of dicount with big stores and stuff. :)
My kids are 17 and 23 but if you check my cleaning cupboard, you'll always see a small pack of diapers. I use them for major spills around the house. A diaper can suck a full glass of red wine from a white carpet without leaving a stain. It works quickly and easily and usually one does the job.
Stand on the diaper for deeper pick up.
Being a mom of two little we go through a LOT of baby wipes. To save some money, we tear the wipe in half before we use it. Most of the time you don't need a whole wipe for a pee diaper. When we have a poopy diaper, I still tear it in half and I end up using more of it, because if I use the whole thing, I tend to fold it over alot, loosing the amount of wipe you actually use.
