We cook it with lime zest, lime juice and cilantro. Excellent!

Since I've computerized recipes for years now, I'd be happy to send you my "Grain,Quinoa" section. SP says it's too long to post here, so I'll try to send it through SparkMail. If that doesn't work, let me know and perhaps we can figure it out.

I use quinoa instead of oatmeal for breakfast. I will cook up a large batch the night before, then in the morning I just warm up a cupful with some butter and maple syrup. It's so delicious. I want to add cream to it but don't as it would be too rich for the way I'm eating now. I settle for a pat of butter. Just be sure that you rinse your quinoa a few times and soak it for a little while before cooking. Enjoy!!

You can do anything with quinoa that you might do with rice or pasta. 1.Tomato sauce, veggies and a sprinkle of cheese. 2. Make a pasta salad but use the quinoa instead 3. Stir fry-but use the quinoa instead of the rice etc

I make a "pilaf" with it. I made some today! I find whatever vegetables I can...and I saute them in a couple tablespoons of olive oil while I cook the quinoa. Once both are done, I mix them together and eat. Today I had some leftover colorful peppers, onion and some frozen spinach. I always soak the quinoa for 30 minutes, rinse then cook. This rids it of the bitterness and hopefully any sand!

When making my favorite recipes that include veggies (like quinoa taboule or bean salad) I double the veggies -- more filling without many extra calories!
I saw CocoMama Quinoa ready to eat cereal at Whole Foods and was excited to give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of Quinoa but the flavors, Cinnamon Banana and Wild Blueberry sounded sooo good. Tried it...not so much. The cereal is overly sweet and the sweetness does nothing to mask the bitterness of the Quinoa. If you like Quinoa then you may like this, but it's not for me.
