There is nothing wrong with having a goal weight in mind. And even if we strive toward the shape we were in College, for example, it doesn't mean we can't be as fit as we were, even more in shape! But our weight may not be the same; our bodies change some over time. So instead of obsessing over the scale to lose the exact amount of weight you set out to lose, use the mirror instead. If you are satisfied with your body and it looks fit and healthy, that is the best measure to go by.

When losing weight, it is sometimes easy to get defeated, when the scale doesn't show a weight loss!!! We can not rely solely on the scale...we must look at overall health..improving habits, diet, exercise, as well as shifting weight. I am noticing improvement in posture, building muscles, all kinds of changes.. I am using a tape measure as well as the mirror to see just how far I have come!!!!9
Along with eating healthier, I'm discovering that pushing myself just a tiny bit harder is making that fat disappear. Even if the scales don't agree, I look in the mirror, and can see results. With that, I remind myself the mirror is a friend, and the scale is just a tool. It makes me that much more determined to succeed.
