Instead of letting media images of fit and fabulous women demotivate me, I decided to turn that on its head and use those images as a light to run towards. There is a particular actress who, whenever I see her, I think looks amazing. Her body is fit, toned and fabulous. So I took a screen grab of her in a bikini and posted it as one of my images. Since posting, I look at this image at least once a day and remind myself that this is the body I'm working towards.
Its especially helpful to peek at whenever I THINK I want to have a snack. One look at that photo and I realize that a glass of water will do me just fine! This way I'm winning in two ways, 1) I'm heading towards that bikini bod; and 2) I didn't give in to the sneaky snack temptation! 104
I saw this photo of a billboard in a city several months ago. It says "Yesterday You Said Tomorrow". It has been complete motivation to all those times I've procrastinated or have felt too tired to do something. Each time you say it, you're holding yourself to your own word. I have this photo on my desktop screen and at the refrigerator at home. I believe it would fit as a nice background or lock screen photo on your cell phone as well.
