This is my favorite snack of the day... 'Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds'. It's a great way to get some healthy fat in and satisfy that need for a taste of chocolate. A 1oz/28 grams serving is only 150 calories. Just Yummy!!! I got them from Sam's Club.

Take a graham cracker sheet and break it in half. Then, take some low-fat or sugar free cool whip and spoon it on one 1/2 of the graham and place the other on top. Can be put in the freezer. Can use any cool whip or graham cracker. I like the cinnamon ones! 30
I don't care what it is, anything decadent you eat out either has too much fat or too much sweetener. At home you can make the most marvelous foods without all the fat and refined starch. If you spend a half-hour in front of the TV, why not cook at the same time?
Today lunch is veggie frittata (5 g fat), tossed salad, mushroom risotto (6 g fat), and fruit salad with fat -free saffron honey yogurt dressing. That took me 45 minutes while watching TV. There's a creative challenge of cooking good-for-you yummy food, and it makes eating healthy so much easier!
I used to eat cereal with milk at breakfast. Now I have 1/2 cup cottage cheese with cut up fresh fruit, and then a bit of cereal on top [the way you sometimes see yogurt with granola on top in an individual serving]. This gives me more protein and I find it staves hunger off for longer. Yummy!
Often I use a healthy granola with omega-3 ingredients as the topping - this way I get dairy, fruit, whole grains, and healthy fats.
