When I go grocery shopping, I bring my own bags. If I only have one or two bags, I leave the cart in the store and walk to my car (which I try to park far away from the door to try to sneak in a few extra steps). While I'm walking, I use the bags as weights and do a couple of reps of bicep curls.

I always grocery shop in my workout clothes; even when I am not going to the store immediately following a workout, I still put them on to grocery shop. There is something about being in my workout gear that keeps my mind in the right mode while choosing what I will bring home with me. Just a little trick that has worked wonders for me!
When I go grocery shopping, I am surprised by the kinds of foods I don't buy anymore. Ice cream, chips, soda. I see them in other shopping carts & wonder why people are wasting their nutrition dollars on junk when they could have yogurt, oranges, and lemon water instead. My tastes HAVE changed!
