I have a bad habit of snacking when I'm bored but not hungry, and I recently discovered something that shows promise of helping me a lot - flavored toothpicks! I particularly like Flavasticks, and they come in all kinds of flavors so if I stay stocked, I won't get bored.
Last night hubby brought the candy bowl into the living room, but because my mouth was busy with a flavored toothpick, I didn't dip into it even once!

In order to get 8 glasses a day I add a few slices of apple or cucumber or sprigs of mint to my water. It helps to keep me interested in the water instead of getting bored of the taste. I also drink it through a straw which helps me drink more, faster without realizing. Get lemon wedges at restaurants instead of soda or iced tea and avoid the packets of flavor since there is a lot of added sugar. Keep it natural and experiment!
You can flavor water with pretty much anything - melon, any citrus (I love limes) just get creative for a subtle flavor!
I stock up my freezer with sugar free popsicles a Edy's Fruit bars at only 25 and 80 calories respectively I never feel bad about having one after dinner. It's a yummy healthy snack, and it helps curb any sweet cravings I may be having. Also it's a nice treat to look forward to for a day well done.
My favorite flavor for the popsicles is Raspberry and for the fruit bars I recommend Strawberry
