It Takes Several Attempts For A Life Change To "Stick"

I read somewhere that on average it takes 5 to 7 attempts to quit smoking or break a substance addiction before it "sticks". I think that making the choice to break unhealthy eating habits is no different. If you keep trying, you WILL find the approach that works best for you. Each attempt lays the groundwork for the next one. I don't think of it as failure, but practice.

  • Yes. I like this. I quit smoking 14 years ago after about 10-12 different ries. It was uncomfortable, it was difficult but it was not impossible. I will succeed with this too.
