Feeling hungry again? You may just be thirsty. Drink a glass of water and see if you still feel hungry. Often time thirst for me feels like hunger, but after rehydrating I feel satisfied.

When I was first losing weight (I lost 60lbs and have kept it off for years!), this was one of my first behavioral changes. I drank a lot more water, and I snacked a lot less.

    I trained my kids to drink more water when they were in elementary school with this tip. When I got myself on a healthy track again, this was one of the first things I remembered. It sure helps tone down the emotional eating. The "drink first" makes me think about why I want to eat. emoticon
