Doing regular, mild forms of exercise helps you respect your body no matter what your size by making you aware of its wonderful construction. It is a good feeling to appreciate the skin you're in instead of focusing on size, something I hadn't done for wwwaaayyy too long.

I can find the "silver lining" in any situation... and when we struggle with our body images it's important to stop and make sure we put the right 'spin" on the things we are doing. If you have the RIGHT positive attitude it's almost impossible to fail.
Try to turn your negative attitude around and teach it to others... attitude truly is everything! And wouldn't you rather be and feel positive instead of negative? Negativity gets you nowhere
Choosing a gym that doesn't make me feel like a blob
I visited MANY gyms and health clubs, but always felt intimidated and overwhelmed by the skinny fit people, and well, I'm not. I felt like I would always be judged, and my body image was even worse when I was exercising than when I wasn't. 39 However, I recently joined a YMCA club near me, and the members are all shapes and sizes and ability levels. I feel right at home and workout at my place without feeling judged or uncomfortable. 104
There are so many factors involved in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And I now realize that maintaining a positive body image is one of them. Dress for success every day! Wear make up, do your hair, forget the baggy clothes! If you look good you feel better. It really helps!
