When we buy a whole pineapple and peel/core it to serve, we save the core and put it INSIDE a chicken or turkey while it's being roasted. GREAT flavor, keeps the bird moist and tender, and uses up what otherwise would have been thrown away.

Sometimes regular oatmeal can be really boring. I like to change it up a bit by using Quaker instant lower-sugar oatmeal and mixing it with crushed pineapple (with juice) instead of water. If you throw in a few nuts for protein, it tastes kind of like a pineapple crisp, but is a filling and healthy breakfast.
