....to lose OR maintain weight. When I went on a "diet," I could go to extremes, and when I reached goal weight, I was "done." So I "stopped." Lather, rinse, repeat. Now, if there's anything I do that I think, "Oh, I can't keep doing this" (eat so little, eat certain foods, not eat certain foods), I stop and regroup. And recommit, or make a change.

    totally agree! that's why I don't run to the gym 6 days a week or completely give up foods I like.

    Boy, there is a lot of wisdom there. Wisdom for living as well as weight loss. I jump in and get over-committed to things without thinking long enough first, and then I realize I can't keep up with it all. I absolutely loved your "lather, rinse, repeat" comment. I need to look at every single activity in my life through this filter. Excellent!
