Mussels are a rich source of many essential vitamins and minerals. About 15 mussels provides the same amount of protein as a steak but has less fat. They can actually decrease the risk of high triglyceride levels. They contain B-12, vitamin C and fiber and are low in calories & carbs & saturated fat and high in nutrition. I love them soaked in a white garlic sauce however they do come in a red sauce too! If you have never tried them, order them next time your eating Italian. YUM!
