I am so not a morning person, even my cats avoid me. I started doing 15 minutes of just ridiculusness. Most of the time it is me just dancing like an idiot to Spongebob Squarepants. This helps me get at least 15 minutes of cardio and puts me in a better mood before going to work. I then look forward to my afternoon run.

It sounds really silly (I know), but this always works for me when I can't fall asleep: Starting with "A", I mentally sing an alphabet song such as the following: 'A' my name is Amy, my husband's name is Archie, we come from Atlanta and we like Apples. Then 'B' my name is Betty, etc. (cont below)
I change up the names and cities and such each time I do this, but every time I do this I rarely even make it to the letter "S" before I am sound asleep! (And yes, I know it sounds *insanely* goofy, but it totally works!)
