Find someone to come to the gym with you. If you arrange to meet up with them somewhere else then go together, that commits you every time and makes it hard to just not bother to turn up. It doesn't have to be a close friend - I've managed to persuade the lady who runs our local burger van to come with me now, after she was talking to me about how hard it is to keep her weight down, working there. People are often afraid to go alone and would love to be invited with you!

I can not make myself exercise without someone encouraging me, so I found a friend that is relentless once a commitment to meet to exercise is made. It works for me and now I try to do the same thing to other friends. As a result we have formed a DVD exercise group. We meet 3 times a week and put in someones DVD and workout together. Good friends can make a difference in so many ways. Hope this works for someone else.306
One great way for me to stay motivated to exercise is to commit to workout with someone else. Whether it be a friend, my better half, a trainer or someone at my gym.....by committing, it makes me not just blow off working out because I don't want to let the other person down.342
I have several different groups of people that I work out with. I have my runner friends, friends that struggle with work outs, and those that want to get together once in a blue. Having many people to work out with allows me to always have something to do around working out.
