FYI: Bell peppers have the some of the most Vit. C you can get from a non- citrus fruit if you have health issues or meds that restrict your intake of citrus.

  • It's the liquid you are using for the above! The left over root may be tossed OR keep it and dice it up for use in cookies, in salads, on meats, etc. - by CHOCOHOLICLADY
  • OH! I almost forgot... thinly slice about 1/2 of a large ginger root and boil in 4 to 6 cups water until slightly more than one cup remains. Strain and drain. Refridgerate in sealed container until ready to use. Add 1 Tablespoon to a cup of hot water for ginger tea, or drizzle a Tablespoon over meats and salads. (4 to 6 Tablespoons per day was recommended) - by CHOCOHOLICLADY
