Got The Munchies Or Feel Like You Need More Protein?

We all are familiar with tuna in the little pouches and doesn't need to be refrigerated but I never looked at any of the other pouches that were available. I love salmon and there are times where I can just tell I want meat or protein and I am hungry. Instead of eating a healthy snack and wanting more because I'm not satisfied or eating something outside of my calory range for a snack I grab salmon in the pouch. It's delisious an quick to grab.
Has no carbs, 17 grams of protein and only 90 calories for 2.6oz which is definietly perfect for a snack or two. This has just become my new snack equalizer. I keep getting cravings for meat/protein and half a pouch keeps me good between meals. LOVE IT!

Eat 1 salad for dinner, better chance of not snacking at night
This week i found that if I eat a salad for dinner it not only ensures that I eat my veggie servings for the day, it also discourages evening munchies. I think I feel so healthy that it keeps me from ruining the night by mindlessly snacking on cheese its! Just be sure to include a protein in there to help make you feel full even longer.
My favorite salad: Chicken Cobb (feeds 4) 2 grilled chix breasts, cubed 2 slices turkey bacon 2 hardboiled eggs, quartered 4 cups Romaine 6 grape tomatoes 1/2 avocado, diced Mix dressing: 1 tbl lemon juice, 2 tbl EVOO, toss with salt, pepper Cal 289, fat 16, net carb 2.5, protein 32
After you have determined that you are indeed hungry, MAKE SURE you have acceptable choices on hand - healthy nuts or seeds, fruits, veggies, hard pretzels, butter-less popcorn, etc. Then you will not be tempted to consume high calories fat-laden snacks!
Eating a variety of protein from meats, eggs, dairy, grains, and legumes is a healthy way to make sure you're getting all the proteins your body needs.Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast,Boneless Skinless Turkey Breast , Lean Deli Ham, Pork Tenderloin (or other lean pork cut), Extra Lean Ground Beef, Beef Top Sirloin, Eye Round Steak Walnuts, Almonds, Seafood is one of the best protein sources. Milk, yogurt, cream and cheese are the rich sources of proteins and beans.
