Filtered Water, Diet tonic water, Unflavoured mineral or soda water, tea or coffee, Diet Cranberry Juice, diet cocoa. Drink plenty of sugar-free drinks if blood glucose levels are high. Water is the best thirst quencher..diabetics need to stay hydrated.
Often people mistake hunger for thirst. When you crave a snack, but know you shouldn't really be hungry yet, have a drink first! Water, tea, or even a low calorie hot cocoa... Sometimes this can ward off a "snack-attack." Works for me! 469
