Start drinking through a straw, and always refill the cup when empty.
For Christmas, my sister gave me one of those newly popular bpa-free plastic cups with a straw and screw-on lid. I use it all the time and have found that I now drink so much more water I have no problem meeting my daily requirement. I even bought another one that I leave at work, and usually have my required 8 glasses consumed by the end of my workday, before I even go to the gym!
