Hereís an idea for all those eggs you hard-boiled: Use their broken eggshells to clean the hard-to-reach places in bottles and vases. Drop some crushed shells in the bottle, add warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid, and give it a good swirl. The shells will scrape off the gunk you canít get to, so you can save your elbow grease for the dinner dishes. 432
Recycle those jars/cans and keep grease out of the drain.
Save your empty glass jars from sauces or aluminum cans from soups, etc. and place them under the sink to use as grease containers from when you cook foods like bacon.
After the grease hardens, use a knife and loosen it around the inside edges of the jar and throw the grease in the garbage and place the container in your recycle bin.
You can also go a step further after you empty the grease, clean the jar and use around the house as containers for pencils, nails in the garage, or even cotton balls in the bathroom. You can decorate it to your liking with some press-on stickers, stencils, and such from an arts and crafts store.
