The more red onion you eat, the lower your blood-sugar glucose levels will be. They are beneficial to gastrointestinal health. Red onions also reduce inflammation in the blood vessels. Onions have sulfur compounds, & the minerals calcium, magnesium. Onions can inhibit the development of cancerous cells, &have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can relieve a stomach ache. Try a red onion brocolli salad, a sandwich, in soups, mixed with other steamed veggies. Love Them!

  • I love onions! I didn't know these facts about the red ones and now that I do I will be incorporating them into my eating plan! One way to enjoy an onion is to remove the outer paper like skin and and wrap in foil and put them on the girl like a baked potato and cook until a fork can insert into it!
