One of the biggest aids to eating healthy that I have found is to make sure that the food that I am eating tastes really good. There was a time when I would grill a piece of meat, steam a couple of veggies - and then wonder why I was always left wanting more food.
Now I make sure to find recipes that are full of flavor - lots of garlic, peppers, onions, fresh herbs, etc. I spend more on groceries and more time in prep but well worth it to have meals that satisfy the taste buds and stomach.
I find that when I am really craving things that I can satiate cravings by increasing flavors in healthy foods. I add a few drops of hot sauce to my light, fat free ranch to dip my cauliflower in or some fresh garlic to my lemon juice for my spinach salad. It entices the taste buds and makes me feel like I got a treat instead of being forced to skip something else.
