Popcorn Is A Healthy Snacking Food!

Surprised? Popcorn is good for you as long as you don't cover it with loads of butter. Not to mention that 3 cups of popcorn=1 serving of grain (surprised?)! Instead of butter, try adding popcorn seasoning that you can find in your local grocery store.

You can also use BBQ seasoning (the powder in the shakers). I once found, in the store, a man sampling BBQ seasoning. He was sampling it on popcorn. I tried it, and couldn't believe how tasty it made the popcorn. I bought the seasoning simply so I could put it on popcorn!

    My kids (and me to) love popcorn with taco seasoning on it. We spray it with just a touch of cooking spray to make the flavor stick to air-pop popcorn! We love it, and it is a fine make ahead snack if stored in an airtight container.

    Popcorn is great and I have found that putting a tablespoon or two of popcorn in a brown paper lunch sack, (fold over the top a couple of times) and microwaving is a great way to fix it. No oil, but if you have the calories, you can add 1/2 T butter and it is fantastic!
