Practice Discipline At The Grocery Store

This Sparked Me!

If you don't buy it, you can't eat it! If you can practice discipline at the grocery store--by not buyingunhealthy food, you won't have it at home. This will put you one step closer to achieving your healthy eating goals. I try to be very focused and stick to a list when grocery shopping.

Most of the healthy food at the grocery store are on the perimeter. Go to the produce section first. Buy whole grains and beans on the rice and beans aisle. Get dairy products and eggs in the dairy section. Practice caution elsewhere!

I've decided that there's nothing wrong with letting my family eat what I eat. The stigma of "Poor you are on a diet so what you eat tastes gross" so needs to be dealt with big time! Why do I want my kids addicted to sugars? I want them healthy like me! So if I don't buy it then none of us have to deal with the consequences... Let's start looking after our families again
