I figured out something that really works for me! I pick a glass that I will use all day and put a piece of tape marking where 8 ounces would fill to. Then with a sharpie I mark a tic mark for each glass I drink, right on the tape. For some reason, seeing the glass out with the tic marks really motivates me to drink more. Plus, being able to mark off another glass feels good, don't know why. Im really visual, I guess. Fold over a bit of the end of the tape so its easy to pull off.

I had a really hard time drinking enough water, I could only stand to drink about 2 glasses a day. I found this stuff at the grocery store called mio, it's a water flavor enhancer. It has no calories, carbs, or fat. You just add a few drops to your water. It comes in a little squeeze bottle you can take with you. Now I am drinking 7-8 cups of water a day, and it's pleasant.
