Increase your food volume, be more satisfied & lose weight
Choose foods that have a high water content (fruits, vegetables, low-fat milk, cooked grains, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans) to increase satisfaction.
My favorite example is to compare two sandwiches, one with 4-5 oz sliced turkey and 1 oz cheese; one with 2-3 oz sliced turkey, a sliced tomato, 1 cup of fresh spinach, and 1 cup of sprouts. The sandwich with less protein and filled with veggies has less calories, more volume and will be more satisfying. Enjoy!
A great book to read on this subject is "The Volumetrics Weight Control Plan: Feel Full on Fewer Calories" by Barbara Rolls and Robert A Barnett (2000)
I read this advice in a book and thought it was worth passing along. You don't have to lose weight for your family to love you. You don't have to lose weight for your friends to love you. But, how do you feel about you? Your opinion of yourself is the most important. Lose weight for you!

This may sound funny but we are so quick to put ourselves down because of our weight. Take that away and I am sure you will find that fab person. Good friend, parent, spouse. I am easy going true friend devoted parent, devoted spouse, daughter, but all I saw was fat, lazy, not worthy.
