Freeze a slice of whole wheat bread, then grate the frozen piece to make your own breading for meats. Cheaper and healthier than store-bought bread crumbs.

Don't throw out that stale loaf of French, Italian, or whatever bread; cut it into chunks and toss it in a food processor to make your own bread crumbs! JUst store in a zip top bag. This way, you're not wasting bread, you're not spending money on bread crumbs and your favorite loaf of bread lasts even longer! Just keep in mind that some breads have seeds and nuts and ingredients that some people are allergic to so make sure to mark the bag accordingly.
