instead of an apple at breakfast I'll cut it in half and safe the rest for tomarow

by cutting fruit in half like bannas, oranges, apples, pears, grapefruit you still get the flavor burst but half the calories and sugar

    If you are going to cut them in half why not buy smaller apples. I look for fruits in the smaller sizes so that I don't have to cut them and try to save half. The bagged fruits such as apples and oranges work well for this purpose because they are usually much smaller. The variety is much better now with the bagged fruits now than it was several years ago. emoticon

    I think this works sometimes. Bananas, in particular, do not save well to the next day. But I'll sometimes cut apples in half, especially if they are super big size like honeycrisp, and put half in a tuperware container; the exposed area gets a little brown but not much.

    but once apples are cut they do not last long; they are usually turning brown in a few hours
