Take smaller bites& chew longer to savor your Thanksgiving dinner as this will aid in digestion & reduce the total number of calories & carbs that can prove to be a problem.. Carb laden food such as potatoes, sweet potatoes & stuffing should be eaten in small amounts. Stay away from candied sweet potatoes. Take a walk after dinner or help with the dishes. Work off some calories.

When my mother was in her 90s, she didn't like big gatherings with lots of kids. So there was just my mother, my husband and me for holidays. We used to cook a big dinner anyway, then one year we decided to go to Denny's for dinner.
