Instead of buying processed foods, learn how to make the things you like at home. It's usually cheaper and healthier! This week, find one item that you often buy and learn how to make it at home.
We make all our own bread, it's 100% whole wheat and preservative free. :) I make homemade hummus, homemade soups, etc. This way I avoid many canned/processed foods. It does take time, but it keeps out the trans fats, MSG, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, and other nasty food additives.

We have been making more and more of our own things at home. After awhile the already prepared stuff starts to taste disgusting. Home cooked food has much better flavors. We even got to the point that some restaurant food tastes bad! I don't miss the convenience at all anymore.

Agree with a spark friend to be completely honest about what you are eating and then send them a copy of your nutrition tracker on a daily basis. It's amazing what little changes you'll make when you think that there really is someone looking at what you log. Those little changes add up and eventually those choices you are making because someone else may see, will turn into a way of life and better choices made for yourself.
I have learned the hard way I am in fact well, human. As obvious as that might sound or be many times we as humans do not want to admit we are fallible. I don't care how hard you try to eat right and exercise there will be temptations.
