Get as much fibre as you can. Green beans, all sorts of berries, apples, brocolli cauliflower, spinach, tomatoes & oranges all have an added benefit some are loaded with folic acid. Saute foods in chicken broth, vegetable stock, tomato juice or wine instead of frying them in oil or butter. Saturated fats from animal products, such as meats and dairy foods, can clog your arteries which contribute to heart disease.

I bring Kellogg's Fiber Plus Cinnamon Oats Cereal pre measured in a bag for a healthy snack. I can eat it one piece at a time so it lasts awhile and the cinnamon is satisfying as a "sweet". Ups my fiber for the day!
