When I feel like I want to eat something I shouldn't, I try to clean something. Get that edge off. It works for me but maybe not for everyone. Doing this helps me get organized as well. It don't have to be for very long. Clean a sink in the bathroom, sweep a floor, organize a junk drawer. Something to get your mind off of eating.

More Information:

The good thing with this is there is nothing to buy except a broom and maybe some cleaning products. Or you can use an old sock for dusting. Works great and is washable. Plus cleaning burns calories. Just an added bonus.

  • When I get the urge to clean...I put on some soft music, dim the lights, sit down on the couch & WAIT for the urge to pass..Haha...I'm just kidding. Your suggestion really is a good one...sometimes we just need a distraction. Every so often I set the timer on the stove for 30 min. or an hour & see how much I can get done...either cleaning or just picking up the clutter...pretending that company is coming... - by WVAWACKADOO
