Save, don't suffer! Deduct $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford, and place it aside each pay day. No scrimping last minute for that special occasion gift, holiday gifts, pay a dentist bill, insurance bill, or make an extra credit card payment. Savings mount up quickly.

  • If you can make it a regular habit to save something out of every paycheck- even if its just $5, it creates the habit of saving. I have a savings amount built into my budget. I always make sure I set that aside. I've built up a nice savings over the past two years and that reduces stress on me... a rainy day fund is always good to have! - by SKINNYHANDFUL

This is a great idea because I always say I am going to deduct some savings after I pay my bills, but of course after paying bills I have hardly anything left. I need to start doing this BEFORE I pay my bills. - by SHAWNJONES69
